What we support

Meaningful, participant led support, not task based care

Thirteen ways to build a good life, all shaped around individual goals, ability, current NDIS funding and agreed support items. Nothing here is a fixed package; what's right for you is worked out together, and always confirmed before support begins.

01 · Community, Social & Recreation

Being part of things, not on the outside of them

Community access and social and recreational participation: markets, local events, sport, social groups, or simply meeting a friend for coffee. Support is about getting you there, and being alongside you while you take part, on your terms.

02 · Capacity Building & Daily Living Skills

Skills that stick, at your pace

Capacity building and daily living skills: cooking, budgeting, personal organisation, communication and everyday routines. This is hands on, practical skill building tied to your own goals, built up gradually rather than rushed.

03 · Appointments, Shopping & Transport

The logistics, sorted

Shopping and appointments and transport: getting to medical and allied health appointments, Centrelink, banking, or the weekly shop, with reliable transport in between. It's the practical stuff that frees up energy for everything else.

04 · Adventure & Outdoor Lifestyle

The reason we're called Reach Adventure

Adventure based support and outdoor lifestyle activities: bush tracks through the Dorrigo hinterland, beach walks, kayaking near the Solitary Islands, fishing, lookouts, local 4WD tracks and whale watching season on the coast. This is support that gets you outside and physically involved, paddling, walking, climbing in, carrying your own gear where you can, not sitting back and watching someone else have the experience.

Bush & hinterland

Walking tracks, lookouts and rainforest trails around the Coffs hinterland and Dorrigo escarpment.

Coast & water

Beach walks, kayaking and time near the Solitary Islands Marine Park, at a comfort level that suits you.

Local outings

Lookouts, fishing spots and the kind of local trips that make a weekend feel like a weekend.

05 · Home & Garden, Together

Hands in the dirt, not tasks handed over

Light home and garden activities, completed with participants where appropriate. Reach Adventure encourages participants to be actively involved in outdoor activities, rather than simply having tasks completed for them. The point isn't a tidy lawn; it's the skill, the routine, the confidence and the sense of ownership that comes from doing it yourself, alongside support.

  • Gardening together
  • Vegetable gardens
  • Planting natives
  • Basic lawn care, where suitable
  • Outdoor maintenance activities
  • Building confidence using tools safely
  • Creating enjoyable outdoor spaces
  • Learning practical home skills

Worth knowing: this is participant led capacity building support, not a lawn mowing, gardening or property maintenance service. Whether it's the right fit depends on your individual goals, ability, funding and agreed support items, always talked through and confirmed together first, never assumed.

06 · Technology, Creativity & Confidence

Building the skills that open other doors

Technology mentoring

Getting comfortable with a phone, laptop or app: texting family, online banking, video calls or just browsing with confidence.

Creative activities

Art, music, photography, writing or craft: creative outlets that are enjoyable in their own right.

Employment & confidence building

Resume support, interview practice and steady steps toward a work goal, at a pace that builds real confidence.

07 · Health & Wellbeing Routines

Good habits, woven into everyday life

Health and wellbeing routines: movement, sleep, healthy habits and routine, built in a way that's sustainable and genuinely enjoyable, not clinical or prescriptive. For those who'd like it, this can include holistic touches too, like a relaxing magnesium rub down or organic, home cooked meals, worked in alongside the rest of your plan.

Every support on this page is individually assessed. What's appropriate depends on your goals, ability, current NDIS funding and agreed support items in your plan. Some activities involve specific procedures, training or a level of complexity; suitability, any training needs and the scope of support are always discussed and confirmed together before support begins. Reach Adventure is not a registered NDIS provider; see our FAQ for what that means for funding.
